They are useful for simple applications where a basic sensor provide adequate sensing performance. The sen- sors are easy to adjust with a 270° single turn potentiometer. The output is a 4-wire comple- mentary (NO and NC) circuit with NPN (current sinking) or PNP(current sourcing) open collector transistor output.
